I had the most wonderful stay at this hotel recently! the location is absolutely stunning. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, it provided a peaceful and tranquil setting. The view from my room was breathtaking, a true feast for the eyes. Secondly, the service was exceptional. The staff were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. They accommodated my early check-in and even extended breakfast time to accommodate latecomers. The room was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including ironing facilities and a cozy sitting area. Plus, the free Wi-Fi was a bonus for staying connected. The dining experience was delightful, with a delicious evening meal that I would highly recommend.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

Had a great Easter break at a lovely and welcoming hotel. The view from our room was simply breathtaking, adding to the perfect location. The food was absolutely delicious, offering a variety of options to choose from. The bed was really comfy and the room spotless. The shower was hot and powerful. The friendly and helpful staff made our stay even better. We couldn't have asked for more and would definitely come back.
The seating in the snug was a bit cramped when it was shared with a large group. However, the owners did their best to provide additional seating elsewhere.

It was as expected, had a wonderful stay for local wedding. Location: the hotel was so close to the centre of Grasmere, which was perfect as a starting point to different trips, hikes, local attractions, the hike up to Helvellyn and the coast. Café Emma's Dell located 1 km away was a nice surprise.

Our stay at Thorney How was worth every penny. The room was spacious, with amazing mountain views, and the powerful shower was a treat. The location was peaceful, away from the main road, and we felt like we were visiting family with the friendly and accommodating staff.
Breakfast delights could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

We stayed at this lovely hotel in a great location for exploring the area. The room was clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The views from the hotel were simply breathtaking.
The only thing that could have been better about the breakfast selection was having more variety, as it was a bit basic.
